Rattan Warranty

At Rattan, we stand behind the quality of our products by offering a 2-year warranty on all electrical components, including the motor, display, charger, battery, and controller for all Rattan e-bikes.
(*Note: Orders purchased before June 1, 2024, are covered by a 1-year warranty instead.)

The warranty begins on the date of purchase and covers most system-related problems and factory defects. Below is a detailed explanation of warranty coverage and exclusions.

Warranty Coverage

Electrical Components (2-Year Warranty)

  • Motor
    Issues such as internal gear breakage, bearing failure, hub shell cracking, coil burnouts, magnet detachment, or abnormal noise.
    Misuse-related damages are not covered.

  • Battery
    Malfunctions such as failure to charge or operate.
    Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.

  • Controller
    Issues like short circuits, burnout, or function failure.
    Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.

  • Charger
    Charging issues.
    Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.

  • Display
    Malfunctions like non-functional screens or missing displays.
    Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.

Structural Components (2-Year Warranty)

  • Frame
    Problems such as rust or structural damage.
    Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.

General Components (1-Year Warranty)

  • Suspension Fork and Handlebar
    Issues such as sealing failure, cracking, or fractures.
    Misuse-related damages are not covered.

  • Brakes, Throttle, and Axles
    Malfunctions or quality issues.

  • Rim and Hub
    Problems like bending or breaking.

Limited Warranty (3 Months)

  • Tires, Inner Tubes, Crank, and Fenders
    Issues like breakage or functional failures.

Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover the following:

  1. Misuse or Improper Usage:

    • Commercial or rental use.
    • Reckless actions or riding in unsuitable road conditions.

  2. Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs:

    • Disassembly, installation, or repairs by anyone other than Rattan.
    • Faulty maintenance or use of incompatible components.

  3. Environmental and External Causes:

    • Accidents (e.g., traffic collisions).
    • Extreme conditions (e.g., high temperatures, power surges, lightning).
    • Damage to the anti-rust layer caused by misuse.

  4. General Wear and Tear:

    • Components such as brake pads, tires, grips, and chains are excluded as they naturally deteriorate over time.

  5. Labor Costs:

    • Labor to repair or replace components is not covered unless explicitly stated.

Warranty Service

If you experience issues with your Rattan e-bike under warranty, please contact us at info@rattanebike.com with the following information:

  1. Purchase Platform: (e.g., Amazon, Brand Store). Include the seller's name if purchased on Amazon.
  2. Order Details: Provide your order number and purchase date.
  3. Contact Information: Share the email and shipping address used at the time of purchase.
  4. Description of the Problem: Attach pictures or videos of the issue along with a brief explanation.

Repair and Replacement Process

  • Parts and Labor:
    Rattan may provide both parts and labor, but in many cases, you may be required to install certain readily replaceable parts yourself.

    • If required by law, Rattan will return the replaced part, but you will be responsible for its cost and shipping fees.

  • DIY Parts Service:
    If eligible, Rattan will ship replacement parts along with instructions for self-installation. Labor costs for DIY repairs may or may not be covered, depending on the specific case.

  • Out-of-Warranty Repairs:
    If your issue is not covered by warranty, you can purchase replacement parts at competitive prices by contacting us at info@rattanebike.com.

Important Notes

  • No Returns Accepted: Rattan does not accept returns for bikes. For any issues, contact our dedicated support team, and we will gladly assist you.
