Himiway Warranty

At Himiway, we are committed to the quality and durability of our e-bikes. All Himiway bikes come with a 2-year all-inclusive manufacturer’s warranty, protecting the original owner against manufacturing defects. Please note that free accessories are not covered under this warranty.


Warranty Coverage

Who Is Covered?

The warranty is automatically registered when the initial purchaser places an order and receives the product from our online store.

Warranty Transfer

The warranty can be transferred to a new owner if:

  1. The 2-year warranty period has not expired.
  2. The new owner provides the original purchaser’s name and the original order number.

Covered Products and Terms

Frame

  • Warranty Period: 2 years.
  • Covers replacement of defective frames.
  • Labor costs for transferring parts are not included.

Exclusions:

  • Corrosion, scratches, paint fade, and impact marks.
  • Damage from collisions, improper modifications, or non-reversible alterations (e.g., drilling or welding).
  • Chain guard issues.

Batteries

  • Warranty Period: 2 years (prorated).
  • Defective batteries will be repaired or replaced at no cost within the first two years.
  • Warranty for repaired or replaced batteries remains unchanged from the original purchase date.

Exclusions:

  • Damage from improper storage, charging with an unsuitable charger, tampering, or use in non-Himiway equipment.
  • Ordinary wear and tear, cosmetic damage, and damage from environmental exposure.
  • Improper assembly, maintenance, or external causes (e.g., fire, flooding, collisions).

Parts and Components

  • Warranty Period: 1 year for spare parts.
  • Customers must pay shipping fees for replacement parts.

Exclusions:

  • Corrosion, wear and tear, or damage to appearance.
  • Labor costs for repairs or replacements.
  • Damage from improper use, storage, or maintenance.
  • Unauthorized modifications or use of non-Himiway accessories.

How to File a Claim

Warranty Claims

To file a warranty claim:

  1. Contact customers@himiwaybike.com.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, along with photos or videos of the issue.

Important Notes:

  • Valid warranty claims must be made within 2 years of the original purchase.
  • Defective components such as displays, batteries, motors, and controllers are eligible for replacement.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping fees, which range from $35 to $80.

For frame numbers starting with 185 or FLE, only the battery must be returned for assessment; other components do not need to be returned.

Himiway will not process any warranty claims without visual evidence of the damage (photos or videos).

Shipping Damage Claims

If your product arrives damaged:

  1. Contact customers@himiwaybike.com within 7 days of receipt.
  2. Include photos or videos of the damage.

Note: Free accessories scratched during transport are not eligible for replacement or compensation.


Repair and Maintenance Services

Authorized Repairs

  • Himiway has over 1,000 authorized dealerships in the U.S. providing free diagnosis and repairs during the warranty period.
  • Labor costs for maintenance are not covered under the warranty.

Third-Party Repairs

  • Himiway provides free replacement parts for repairs done by third-party services like Velotooler.
  • Labor costs for repairs are not reimbursed.

Additional Information

Credit Card Chargebacks

If a chargeback is initiated on an e-bike purchase, the warranty will be invalidated until the issue is resolved.
