At Coastal Cruiser Bikes, we are proud of our products' quality and durability. Each bike is backed by a limited warranty against manufacturer defects, ensuring your satisfaction and peace of mind. This warranty is valid only in the United States.
Limited Warranty
Warranty Period
Coastal Cruiser products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for:
- 1 year from the date of purchase or delivery, or
- 1,000 miles traveled, whichever occurs first.
Replacement parts used for warranty repairs are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Non-Transferable Warranty
This warranty is exclusive to the original retail buyer and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required when filing a warranty claim.
What’s Covered
Coastal Cruiser provides full replacement of defective parts with free shipping within the first 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Covered components include:
- Drive unit
- Frame
- Batteries
- Mechanical components
- Electrical components
Shipping Damage Claims
Inspect your bike immediately upon delivery. Freight damage claims must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
- Document any visible damage with photos, including the Bill of Lading.
- Retain all packaging materials for inspection.
- Contact Customer Support at sales@coastalcruiserbikes.com for instructions.
Claims submitted after 7 days will not be accepted.
Exclusions & Non-Covered Items
What’s Not Covered
Normal wear and tear, as well as damage due to abuse or neglect, is not covered. Examples include:
- Racing, modifications, or abnormal strain.
- Water damage.
- Improper maintenance or use of incompatible parts.
- Environmental exposure (e.g., saltwater, chemicals).
- Damage from collisions or improper operation.
- Gradual battery deterioration below 50% capacity after 200 charge cycles.
Warranty Void Conditions
The warranty is void if:
- The product is used commercially (e.g., rental or cargo transport).
- A non-Coastal Cruiser charger is used.
- Unauthorized alterations or repairs are made.
- Damage occurs due to improper maintenance or transportation.
- The product is misused, abused, or neglected.
Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility:
- Operate, maintain, and store the product as specified in the owner’s manual.
- Report defects within 7 days of discovery with supporting evidence, such as photos or videos.
Retain original packaging for warranty claims. Coastal Cruiser does not provide replacement boxes or packing materials and recommends purchasing shipping insurance for returns.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
Follow these steps to file a claim:
- Retain the original packaging, even if damaged.
- Submit a claim ticket online here. Include photos/videos of the defect.
- Coastal Cruiser will inspect the product and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
Proof of purchase is required for all claims.
Returns & Refunds
Return Policy
- Items may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a refund of the product cost (minus shipping).
- Merchandise must be unused, with all original parts and packaging.
- Used items may incur a 10%-25% restocking fee, depending on condition.
Note: Returns without written approval from Coastal Cruiser will not be processed.
Cancellations
- Orders canceled within 24 hours of confirmation receive a full refund.
- Cancellations after 24 hours may incur a 10% administration fee.
- If the order has shipped, return shipping fees and a 25% restocking fee apply.
